We kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals will only receive an extension if time allows. As a courtesy to all of our clients, we kindly ask that you mute all pagers and cell phones during all treatments. It is our desire to provide a relaxing atmosphere for everyone and extend the benefits of massage.
Please give 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment.
For your convenience, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, debit cards, and personal checks
Prenatal - The client must be 12 weeks along with no complication or high risk. High risk pregnancy requires a release for medical risk. It is suggested to wait six weeks after delivery to schedule a massage. Consult with your physician or midwife if you have any questions.
Accidents - Clients who have been involved in a motor vehicle accident or have had a recent fall are usually suggested to wait 3-4 days before a massage.
Surgery - Clients who've just had surgery need medical clearance, as massage moves blood and lymph fluid, and it may inhibit the healing process. *If you've been put on blood thinners post-surgery, you must be off of them for one week before getting a massage.
Prolonged Illnesses or Cancer - Clients may need medical clearance.
Fevers, Colds, and Sinus Infections, Etc. - Clients experiencing these illnesses should not be scheduled for a massage until they are well. Anyone on or recently off an antibiotic needs to wait approximately 3 days - 2 weeks to book a massage because antibiotics can last in your system for up to 3 days - 2 weeks after you've stopped taking them.
Injections - Clients need to wait 24 hours after receiving any type of injection, including novocaine, before getting a massage.
Diabetes - If you inject insulin, the area of injection can not be worked on, as massage would push the insulin into surrounding tissues too quickly, negating the effects of the injection. Please inform your therapist if and where you inject insulin.
Sunburn or Peeling Skin - Please wait until your skin has finished peeling before booking your appointment.
Other - Any other medical conditions that could be questionable can be evaluated by a therapist, and a return call will be given to the client.
